EAT.ATM
EAT.ATM is The Big Umbrella Foundation’s Australian-first social enterprise designed to transform how food relief is delivered.
It uses smart food vending machines placed in communities where support is needed most to provide free, nutritious and culturally appropriate meals to people experiencing food insecurity, hardship or crisis — available anytime, anywhere.
EAT.ATM operates on a sustainable “buy one, give one” model, where every low-cost meal purchased helps fund a free meal for someone in need.
The model is designed to be:
· Dignified — discreet and accessible, reducing stigma
· Scalable — able to expand into new communities
· Financially sustainable — generating ongoing impact through social enterprise
· Responsive — deployable during climate disasters and community emergencies
In short, EAT.ATM combines technology, partnerships and social enterprise to create a smarter, more sustainable future for food relief in Australia.
